  • Tanya Braukman

I’m Tanya! A maker at heart. I love anything related to arts and crafts, and over the years have dabbled in many different mediums. From painting murals, to carving stamps – if it’s a creative outlet, I’m there!

At a very young age I started concentrating on fine arts including painting, sketching and photography. As I aged, my focus transitioned to cottage crafts where I discovered traditional soap making. I quickly fell in love and unknowingly started a journey building a successful handmade company. In 2013 Rough Cut Soap Co. was founded, offering botanical inspired all-natural cold process soap worldwide to many upscale boutiques, spas and hotels. In 2019 Rough Cut Soaps and Sundries opened, a boutique in downtown Carlton highlighting handmade items and artists from across the country. I sold the brand in 2021 to prioritize home life, now enjoying a slower pace creating art with my child and many others.

I started homeschooling our daughter in 1st grade where we connected with a local co-op, and I became the ‘craft club’ instructor teaching 50+ homeschool children on a weekly basis. Now working with Novel Rose, I get the opportunity to once again share my love of art with a wide variety of kids ranging in age and creative backgrounds.

Currently my craft room is littered with stained glass plants and needle felted coin purses. I’ve sewn handbags, thrown clay, practiced bookbinding and mastered collage art. I have stockpiles of beads, fabrics, colorful paper, and an assortment of other fun and vibrant craft supplies all waiting to be put to good use in the perfect, throughout project!

  • Isa Rademacher

Isa Rademacher, a founding partner of Novel Rose, hails from Kingston, Jamaica. McMinnville has been her home since Spring 2019 and the hub for Snapology of McMinnville, the STEAM enrichment business she’s been operating with her husband, Daniel for the last 2 years. After graduating the University of the West Indies, Isa spent some 30 years facilitating Jamaican industry growth through promoting start-ups, joint ventures and coordinating international technical cooperation including design and IP management and trade missions to the US and Europe. She is passionate about the growth and development of children as it is her belief that all children are ‘gifted’ gifts from God. Isa has made a personal commitment to providing opportunities that will help to unearth and nurture those God-given talents and abilities. While GM at AmCham in Kingston, she conceptualized “Give A Child A Dream”, an initiative to expose and inspire hundreds of 6th Graders to future career possibilities through immersive visits to member companies, most of which were US-owned. As a Board Director of a non-profit associated with her church in Jamaica, she raised funds for learning programs for children, including a field trip for more than 100 inner-city kids to participate in an introductory robotics program. Isa enjoys cooking and baking as well as the outdoors and DIY home projects with her husband. Of their 4 adult children, 3 were homeschooled, and their youngest just graduated UO as a McNair Scholar and heads to Northwestern to pursue Masters studies next fall.
